Huguette’s healthy tips to start 2017 on the good track

Keeping in mind that food is an important part of the French culture, we are sharing Huguette’s healthy tips to start the year with more energy than ever !

  • Eat plenty of colourful fruits and vegetables, spice them up with herbs and spices.
  • Enjoy healthy fats: the good news is that ’healthy fat does not make you fat’!
  • Choose whole food, you’ll get more nutrients and fibers and you will be satiated for longer.
  • Add proteins to each meal: they are essential to repair cells and build muscles.
  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Remember when you feel thirsty, you’re already dehydrated!
  • Try healthy snacks such as seeds and nuts, dips and vegetable sticks.
  • Get rid of refined sugar!
  • Have a good night sleep!
  • Keep moving and exercising.
  • Like the French do, sit and enjoy food with your friends and family.
  • Have a social life, and indulge yourself from time to time!
